See where you show on Google Maps, street by street

A business does not rank in one place on the map. It ranks well near its door and disappears a few streets away. The local rank grid checks Google Maps from a grid of points across the area and shows you exactly where you are found.

Local rank grid in Auditmatic. Sample data.

How it works

  1. 1Pick a business and a searchFind the business on Google Maps and enter the search people use, such as dentist near me.
  2. 2Choose the areaNeighborhood, town, city or metro. Smaller areas use 9 points across 2 or 4 km, larger ones use 25 points across 8 or 20 km.
  3. 3Read the gridEach point shows your rank there, up to 20. Green is the top three, amber is four to ten, red is eleven to twenty.

What you get

A grid of points
Nine or twenty-five points across the area you chose.
Rank at each point
Your position at every point, to a depth of twenty results.
Average rank and top-3 share
Two numbers that summarise the whole area.
Who shows up
The businesses that appear alongside you and how often.
Check history
Run it again after a change and compare.

A worked example: a dentist two blocks from the centre

A dental practice ranks first for "dentist near me" at its own address and in the three points around it. Move two points east and it ranks fifth. Move to the west edge and it is eighteenth.

The grid turns that into a picture. The average rank is 6.2 and the practice is in the top three at 36% of points. The business next door has a weaker centre but covers the east side. Now you know where to focus: reviews and posts that mention the east neighbourhoods, not more work near the door.

What a local rank grid costs

Each check searches every keyword at every point, so the price scales with the grid. Lookups come out of the usage your plan includes each month, priced from the cost of the data. Repeating a recent lookup is free, and top-ups never expire.
