A worked example: a 48-page site
The audit crawls 48 pages and finds 25 findings: 2 critical, 9 warnings and 14 notices. The two critical ones are a missing canonical tag on six pages and three broken internal links. Those are the ones that cost you traffic.
You fix those two first. The warnings, thin content and missing alt text, take an afternoon. The notices are polish. Running the audit again shows the score going from 84 to 91 and the critical count at zero.
