Keyword research in Auditmatic. Sample data.

How it works

  1. 1Start from a topicEnter a seed term and a country. You get a list of related keywords with volume, cost per click, competition, a difficulty score and the search intent behind each one.
  2. 2Look at the real resultsPick a keyword to see the pages that rank for it today and how its demand has moved. A keyword with a big number and a wall of giant sites is a different bet from one with the same number and forums.
  3. 3Keep what is worth writingSave keywords to your list and tag them. They are ready when you sit down to write, and your agent can read the same list.

What you get

Search volume
Average monthly searches for the keyword in the country you chose.
Difficulty score
How hard the first page looks, so you can start where you can win.
Cost per click
What advertisers pay for the click. A high number usually means the traffic converts.
Search intent
Whether people want to learn, compare, buy or find one site, so the page you write matches.
The live results
The pages ranking now, with their titles and sites, for the keyword you select.
Search volume chart
Monthly demand over time, so you can tell a growing topic from a fading one.
Related ideas and grouping
Category ideas, "people also search for" terms, and a way to group keywords.
Filters and export
Include or exclude terms, then export a CSV or send the list to Google Sheets.

A worked example: invoicing software

Search "invoice software" and you see 40,500 searches a month. It looks like the prize. The results are all big accounting products, so for a new site it is a long game.

Look further down the same list. "Late payment reminder email" has 6,600 searches, a cost per click under two dollars and a high score, and the pages that rank are blog posts and forums. A solo site can write a better page than those. "Client portal software" has a cost per click near seventeen dollars: fewer searches, but each visitor is worth far more.

The point of reading the results next to the numbers is that you choose between them with evidence: a big keyword you will not win this year, a mid-size one you can, and a small one that pays. You save the second and third, tag them, and write them in that order.

What a keyword search costs

A keyword search costs about $0.05 at typical result limits. Lookups come out of the usage your plan includes each month, priced from the cost of the data. Repeating a recent lookup is free, and top-ups never expire.
