Keyword research
Find the searches worth writing for, in any country or a single city.
Search
Enter a seed keyword and pick a country. You get ideas with monthly volume, difficulty, cost per click and intent. For a local business, pick a city: volume then comes from that area instead of the whole country.
Options
- Results: 50 to 500 ideas. More ideas cost a little more.
- Source: Auto blends keyword suggestions with related ideas. Pick one to narrow it.
- Clickstream: adds search-behaviour data to the volume. It costs about twice as much, so use it on the keywords you are about to commit to.
- Group keywords: clusters the results by topic, so a long list becomes a page plan.
Pick a seed that is specific
Ideas come from the seed, so a broad seed drifts. "technical seo audit checklist" gives a useful list; "seo" gives noise. If results wander, search again with a narrower phrase.
Check who you are up against
Press SERP on any row to see who ranks on Google's first page for it. If the top is big, established sites, the keyword is harder than the difficulty number suggests.
Save the keep-list
Tick the keywords you want, add a tag such as "blog" or "pricing page", and press Save. The Saved tab keeps them with the numbers from the day you saved them, so opening the list costs nothing.
