Write content with AI and a human editor, in four steps
By the Auditmatic team · Updated 3 November 2026 · 6 min read
1. Write the brief
Give the model the main keyword, the intent, the reader, the points to cover, the facts it may use and the tone. A good brief is the largest part of the job.
2. Let the model draft
Ask for a draft from the brief. Tell it to use only the facts you provided and to mark anything it is unsure of.
3. Edit as a person
- Check every fact, number and claim.
- Add your own examples and experience, which a model cannot supply.
- Cut filler and make the first paragraph answer the question.
4. Check before you publish
- Compare with the top results. Does yours add something they do not?
- Check the page for duplicate content, a unique title and a clear heading structure.
- Add internal links to and from related pages.
Do not publish at scale without review
Large volumes of unreviewed, generic pages rarely help and can harm trust. Publish fewer pages that you have checked.
Run it with your AI agent
Connect your agent to Auditmatic, then paste this prompt. Replace the parts in angle brackets. It reads real data and asks before it spends anything.
Use my Auditmatic project for <your-domain>. For the keyword <keyword>, run get_serp_results and summarise what the top five pages cover and what they miss. Write a brief for a page that adds something new: reader, intent, outline, points to cover, and facts I must supply. Do not write the article yet. Wait for my approval of the brief.
Without a tool
You can do this by hand with free tools:
- Write the brief in a document.
- Give it to an AI model and ask for a draft.
- Edit and fact-check the draft before publishing.
Questions
Will search engines penalise AI content?
Search engines focus on whether content is helpful, not on how it was written. Unhelpful, mass-produced pages are the risk.
Should I disclose that AI helped?
Follow your own standards and any rules for your field. Responsibility for accuracy stays with you.
