Run SEO with an agent
What to automate and what to keep
Let schedules do the repeatable work. Keep decisions with a person.
Three layers
- Runs by itself: weekly rank and AI checks, rank-drop alerts and the Monday digest. These have fixed inputs, so nothing needs deciding.
- Agent, with review: research, comparisons, drafts and fixes. The agent does the legwork and you read the result.
- You decide: which keywords to target, what the page should say, what to publish.
The rule
Automate a task when its inputs are fixed and a wrong output is cheap to spot. Keep it manual when the input is a judgement call, such as which keywords belong in the weekly check. A wrong keyword list wastes every check that follows, so a person approves it once.
A sensible setup
- Alerts on: you hear about ranking drops without looking.
- Track 10 to 25 keywords you chose, not the first 100 an agent suggests.
- Ask the agent for a monthly review, and read it.
